Hypnotherapy is a form of complementary therapy that utilises the power of positive suggestion to bring about subconscious change to our thoughts, feelings and behaviour.  There is nothing extraordinary about hypnosis. “Trance” is just a state of focussed attention that we all go in and out of all the time. The process itself aims to alter our state of consciousness in a way that relaxes the conscious part of the mind while simultaneously stimulating and focussing the subconscious part. This heightened state of awareness - reached using skilled relaxation techniques - allows the therapist to then make appropriate suggestions.


It is a perfectly natural condition which, when harnessed, can release hidden potential to improve life. Perhaps the best known therapeutic uses are for stopping smoking and losing weight. However, there are countless other applications where it can be of very great benefit. These include: improved self-esteem, stress reduction, dealing with phobias and trauma, pain relief, speeding up the healing process, confidence in public speaking, improving memory and sports performance enhancement. Hypnosis can assist in alleviating a wide range of psychological problems, including those physical symptoms which have been psychologically induced. 



EFT (emotional freedom technique)

Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT (often known as Tapping or EFT Tapping), is a universal healing tool that can provide impressive results for physical, emotional, and performance issues. EFT operates on the premise that no matter what part of your life needs improvement, there are unresolved emotional issues in the way. Even for physical issues, chronic pain, or diagnosed conditions, it is common knowledge that any kind of emotional stress can impede the natural healing potential of the human body. EFT combines the physical benefits of acupuncture with the cognitive benefits of conventional therapy for a much faster, more complete treatment of emotional issues, and the physical and performance issues that often result.


While related to acupuncture, EFT does not use needles. Instead, we use a simple two pronged process wherein we (1) mentally "tune in" to specific issues while (2) stimulating certain meridian points on the body by tapping on them with our fingertips. Properly done, EFT appears to balance disturbances in the meridian system and thus often reduces the conventional therapy procedures from months or years down to minutes or hours. EFT can be an ongoing process that we use to clear out the old traumas, and welcome any new challenges with a healthy, productive attitude.



PTT (picture tapping technique)

The Picture Technique is a recent application of conventional EFT. It combines the power of EFT with the power of imagination and artistic metaphor to release problems in a painless and indirect way. PTT does not replace EFT. It does nothing that EFT cannot do on its own. However in certain situations it is less traumatic for the client and sometimes faster resolution can be achieved particularly when the issues are global in nature or when the client is reluctant to talk about their issues directly.


The pictures may sometimes appear very simple and childlike on a superficial level but the input from the subconscious mind in the form of artistic metaphor and pictorial symbols can be profound. Multiple aspects and levels of a problem (even taboo and deeply hidden ones) may be expressed simultaneously and far more easily than with other modalities. The pictures produced, particularly as the problems moves towards resolution can be very profound and are often very memorable.


Properly done, PTT appears to balance disturbances in the meridian system and thus often reduces the conventional art psychotherapy procedures from months or years down to minutes or hours. The Picture Tapping Technique is useful in many areas where the issue is non-specific or “global” in nature. For example:

Reiki is a natural form of holistic healing and complimentary therapy, developed in Japan through the insight of Dr Mikao Usui. The treatment involves the recipient sitting on a chair or lying on a couch fully clothed. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively in a sequence of positions which cover the whole body. The practitioner is a channel which universal energy is drawn to heal the need or imbalance in the recipient. Reiki is a calming, relaxing and reinventing process, which brings healing to all levels of being: physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.

After the initial consultation, I’ll have a good idea of what will work, based on your personality type and what has worked well for you in the past.


How many sessions will I need?

After our initial consultation and first session I will have a clearer idea of how many sessions you may need. In some instances 1 session maybe all that’s needed.

Confidence 4-6 Sessions or more


Phobias 1-2 Sessions


Healing Past Relationships 1- 10 sessions or more


Anxiety 4–7 or more


Healing Family issues 5 - 10 sessions or more


How long is a session?


90 minutes for the first session, consequent sessions are 75 minutes.
